Haven't been here in awhile

Things are going well I guess..  Staying down in the 145 range with my weight and size 8s are still a bit large.. so I'm happy there. Back to working out everyday and keeping my diet pretty on track.  I will be heading north to see my kids in Pittsburgh this weekend and am really excited its been over a month since I've seen them miss them so much.  Things at work are going well and I really like my job though sometimes its stressful.  Yes I know its not rocket science or brain surgery but none the less its not kindergarten either.  Working with people and in the service industry is always an interesting place to be.  Just keeping it together sometimes is hard.

But I will stay the course and know that shortly things have to get better.. because in the words of a great motivational speaker "winter always follows fall and spring always follows winter and day always follows night" meaning that after the hard times in life there are always good ones.  So just hanging in there and keeping the positive affirmations flowing and soon they will become reality!!! I have faith..

What an AWESOME day!!

My day started out GREAT got to see Ty and spend just a little time with him but I'll take what time I can get.  What a great couple we are when we are together. If we talk fitness and workouts it is the best time because we are so alike and both so energized about it.  Spent our day texting and deciding on supplements as well as me trying to get more things going with my Beachbody Business.  What a great opportunity I have laying in my hands now to get it out to the people I know and don't know and let you all know how awesome it is.  As a Coach I get 25% off all the products and programs and that is going to come in handy with all the new stuff coming out.. Body Gospel will be first.. followed by Turbo Fire then at some point P90 Next and Insanity Asylum... Tell me that doesn't sound like fun.. sounds like some savings to me and more choices hmmmm my ADD may have a workout fit soon.  I'm up to 175 push ups of my 200 for the day working on a challenge of 3000 by the end of May... I got a slow start so I'm playing catch up.  Can already feel things changing in my upper body.. LOVING IT!!!  Well time for 25 more and some good book reading and then off to the sleepy land and up for some P90X in the am..

Little Joe's Birthday

Today my boy goes from 10 to 11... one step closer to being a teenager.  Out of my 4 kids I'd have to say Joe is the quiet one, UNLESS you know how to talk video games or computer.  Then I promise you if you think you know something you will walk away feeling like you know nothing. That boy reads reads reads plays plays plays.. Joseph I miss you very much your little RJ (random Joe) comments that make us all laugh that seem to come from nowhere and just pop out at the most random of times. Your laugh and your determination to get things done. Joseph you have a GREAT day today.  Love you!!!!

Not sure

Why would one hurt themselves knowing its going to hurt the ones that love them most? I understand depression I've been there played that game but always seem to be able to realize that its not helping.. Diving into food or beer is not going to make the problems go away and as a matter of fact is going to make them worse. Why would someone do this knowingly knowing that the answer is just to get out of the situation and deal with the fall out its going to happen anyway.. Blogging here figuring no one reads this and I need to get it out.. I love this man with all my heart but don't understand why hurting himself feels it won't tear my heart out since I can't be with him. Lots of tears shed and lots more to come I'm sure but not giving up now.. I've come this far hopefully my love will mean enough someday.

Easy, Good and Good for you

Have found the easiest thing to make for anytime eats and its good for you and fairly inexpensive..... SO SIMPLE... Ready


1 package of coleslaw mix (or shredded cabbage/carrots if you have the patience) I also added a package of broccoli slaw.
1lb of any lean meat.. I used chicken and sliced it in small strips like the cabbage
1 bunch of scallions
cucumber cut in thin strips
garlic powder
onion powder
spicy red chili thai sauce
whole wheat wraps, rice paper , bib lettuce to wrap it in or just a plate..

Cook the chicken in a skillet with a little oil (I use coconut) and garlic powder. after the chicken is cooked through remove to a plate
put coleslaw and broccoli slaw into same skillet and cook down.. while its cooking slice bunch of scallions into it add a little more garlic powder I also added a few shakes of ginger.  Cook 8-10 min til it cooks down a bit but is still crunchy. Add chicken back to it and re-warm... serve in chosen wrap with a good fair shake of Thai Chili sauce and thin strips of cucumbers.. The spice of the chili and cool of the cucumber is SO perfect. 


I ate mine today just on a plate to avoid the carbs..last time added mushrooms to it and could probably add almost any veggie to it you wanted just to change things up and add more nutrition.  Let me know what you think.  Its SOOO yummy I've made it three times in one week... easy, good and good for you..
